The Family Ministry
Our ministry to families is first parental before it is pastoral. We begin by reaching out to children, teens, and youth before engaging parents, ensuring a holistic approach to family restoration.
The family institution is under immense attack, facing dynamic and strategic threats from forces seeking to destabilize its divine foundation. These attacks come from multiple directions some seemingly unrelated yet working together to disrupt the proper structure of this fundamental institution. As a result, many societal problems today stem from broken and dysfunctional families.
God designed the family unit with the wisdom and potential to foster sustainable, cohesive, and harmonious communities. A strong family is the foundation for a society built on love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, self-control, and godliness. However, these values cannot be fully instilled by external institutions alone; they must first be nurtured at home by parents. Schools, churches, and other institutions are meant to complement not replace the foundational work of parents in raising children.
Our Approach to Strengthening Families
We empower families to build strong relationships, healthy marriages, and a thriving family life through the following initiatives:
Hosting Family Socials for Community Building
We bring parents and children together for fellowship, worship, and social bonding. These gatherings serve to bridge the generational gap, fostering healing, reconciliation, and renewed relationships within families.
Malachi 4:6
“I will send you the prophet Elijah before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes. He will turn the hearts of parents to their children and the hearts of children to their parents so that I will not come and strike the land with a curse.
Marriage Seminars for Parental Empowerment
Our Marriage Seminars are designed to equip parents and couples with biblical wisdom and practical skills to build strong, godly marriages. A healthy marriage is the foundation of a strong family, and when the marital relationship thrives, the entire family benefits.
These sessions provide insights on how to nurture a God-centered home and raise children in righteousness.
Parenting Discipleship and Training Seminars
We hold specialized seminars to train parents in biblical discipleship and intentional parenting, ensuring they positively influence and guide their children toward godly living.
Malachi 2:15
Did not one God make her? Both flesh and spirit are His. And what does the one God desire? Godly offspring. So, look to yourselves, and do not let anyone be faithless to the wife of his youth.
Family Training Seminars
Our training programs equip parents with the necessary resources and tools to fulfill their God ordained role effectively.
Key Areas of Focus:
Providing age-appropriate skills and teaching tools to help parents be intentional in raising their children in a godly manner.
Restoring parental authority by awakening parents to their divine role as the primary caregivers and spiritual leaders in their children’s lives.
Teaching biblical discipline and training:
– Proverbs 13:24 “He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.”*
– Parents must understand that discipline is an act of love and a means to raise godly and responsible children.
Encouraging moral and spiritual responsibility:
– Despite busy schedules and external pressures, parents must prioritize laying a strong moral and spiritual foundationfor their children.
– By the end of the day, decisions must be made and parents must choose to take responsibility for shaping their children’s future.
Reinforcing the irreplaceable role of parents:
– Teachers, Sunday school instructors, house managers, and other caregivers should only complement parental efforts not replace them.
– The responsibility of raising godly children belongs primarily to parents as ordained by God.
Through these efforts, we strive to restore families to God’s original purpose, ensuring that homes become places of love, faith, and godliness, raising a generation that honors and serves the Lord.
